Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT with Jackson Therapy Partners! We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily skills while exploring a brand-new location.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active State License is Required to Start the Assignment
• BLS Certification May Be Required from AHA or ARC
• Active Michigan/MI Occupational Therapist License required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS required.
• Occupational therapy experience required in primarily outpatient settings with some acute care.
• Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty, required.
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years required.

Assignment Details

• One weekend per month required, Saturday.
• May work across multiple settings including outpatient and acute care.

Location Highlights

Alpena sits on the shores of Lake Huron and offers access to the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary and the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center in the heart of downtown. Alpena State Park is about 7 miles south of the city, and Rockport State Recreation Area is about 25 miles north, offering hiking, shoreline access, and quarry trails. Downtown Alpena includes the Alpena Bi-Path and a walkable riverfront along the Thunder Bay River, which supports a quieter lifestyle with waterfront recreation and local dining. Travelers can also reach Negwegon State Park in about 30 miles for undeveloped Lake Huron beaches and hiking in a more remote natural setting.
