Neuromuscular Neurologist
Morehouse School of Medicine | Department of Neurology
Primary Practice Site: Grady Health System | Atlanta, Georgia
Position Summary
Morehouse School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Neuromuscular Neurologist to join the Department of Neurology at Grady Health System. This academic faculty position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive neuromuscular care while teaching residents and medical students in one of the nation's premier academic safety-net hospitals.
Faculty appointments are available at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient and inpatient neuromuscular care.
- Perform and interpret EMG and nerve conduction studies.
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of neuromuscular disorders.
- Collaborate with Oncology and other multidisciplinary teams in the management of neuromuscular complications of cancer.
- Supervise neurology residents and teach medical students.
- Participate in clinical program development, quality improvement, and scholarly activities.
- Participate in equitable departmental call coverage.
Qualifications
Required
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
- Fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine
- Expertise in EMG and nerve conduction studies
- Eligible for Georgia medical licensure

- Interest in academic medicine and resident education
- Clinical research or quality improvement experience
