As a Periodontic Lead Dental Assistant at Ideal Dental, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional care and support to both our patients and dental team. What You’ll Do:
Lead and guide the periodontal dental assistant team, ensuring clinical tasks are completed accurately and efficiently throughout the day.
Support the Periodontist during advanced periodontal procedures.
Master and utilize specialized periodontal instruments and advanced technology.
Coordinate patient care and scheduling, helping maintain a smooth and timely periodontal workflow.
Mentor and train periodontic dental assistants, ensuring team members are confident, compliant, and equipped to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
Manage and maintain the inventory of periodontal supplies and equipment, ensuring the office is always well-stocked and ready for procedures.
Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping, supporting continuity of care and operational excellence.
Foster a collaborative and professional team culture, encouraging communication, accountability, and ongoing development in periodontal care.
Responsibilities
Greeting guests with a smile
Assisting Periodontist with procedures
Sterilizing instruments and setting up trays
Preparing treatment rooms
Assisting with conscious and iv sedation
Performing X-rays
Charting existing and recommended treatments
Performing other duties as required to support the office and periodontal team
What do you need to have to be a part of our team?
Active Registered Dental Assistant License
Current CPR certification
Minimum of 2 years of specific Periodontic experience
Proven ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and motivate staff. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with the oral surgeon, staff, and patients
Must be willing to travel within assigned areas
