Doctor of Medicine | Pediatrics - Hematology/Oncology Location: Des Moines, IA Employer: Wellhart, LLC Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: 10/12/2026 About the Position Our client in Iowa is seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in Hematology/Oncology for a 21-day assignment starting Sep 28, 2026. This role involves providing medical Hematology/Oncology coverage four days per week, working 8a-5p with a call schedule to be determined. The Physician will focus primarily on outpatient care, comprising 95% of duties, with a 5% inpatient component. Responsibilities and Duties Provide medical Hematology/Oncology coverage primarily for outpatient needs (95%) and a smaller inpatient component (5%). Perform patient assessments. Develop new treatment plans. Manage ongoing treatment plans and changes in therapy. Refer for ancillary services. Provide end of life care. Manage chemotherapy. Manage pain (radiation and surgical oncology management provided by existing providers).
