Full job description

Bishop Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is looking for a Dietary Supervisor to work in our facility in Syracuse, NY.

Must be available to work morning and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Duties:

  • Assists Director with overseeing the daily operations of the dietary department including the kitchen, dish room and food storage areas.

  • Adheres to state regulations, current best practices, policies, and procedures for food preparation and meal service.

  • Ensures dietary staff are adhering to department policies and procedures for food handling, preparation, and service.

  • Provides regular communication to the Director regarding food service operations.

  • Conducts routine audits and monitors performance.

Requirements:

  • Performs job functions of all dietary positions when necessary.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of federal regulations of the State Department of Health code and rules and regulations regarding meal service.

  • Ensures proper preparation, handling, and service of food in accordance with state rules and regulations.

  • Assists with the training of new and current department staff.

  • Provides feedback to the Director on the work performance of Dining Services staff members.

  • Arrives to work on time, regularly, and works as scheduled.

  • Recognizes and follows the dress code of the department.

  • Abides by the code of conduct, compliance, and HIPAA policies.
