Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled AV Field Service Technician with hands-on experience in audiovisual (AV) troubleshooting, repair, and field servicing. This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to commercial and/or residential AV systems, ensuring optimal system performance and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of AV components, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently at client sites.

This position is Monday-Friday normal daytime hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to client locations to troubleshoot, repair, and service audiovisual systems.
  • Diagnose issues with AV components including displays, projectors, control systems, audio processors, amplifiers, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems.
  • Perform system testing, calibration, and configuration to ensure proper functionality.
  • Read and interpret AV system schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Repair or replace faulty equipment, cabling, and connectors.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on proper system operation.
  • Document service calls, resolutions, and equipment changes accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to resolve complex system issues.
  • Maintain tools, service vehicle inventory, and testing equipment.
  • Ensure all work complies with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
