Job Description
Shriners Children’s Ohio is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a part-time, night shift schedule. The ideal candidate will bring experience in pediatric critical care respiratory therapy and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Hours: This part-time, night shift position will work 2/12s and rotate every 3rd weekend.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides primary respiratory care to patients from admission through their discharge under a physician's order
Communicates verbal and/or written patient and departmental information/special needs to pertinent persons in a timely and appropriate manner (i.e. rounds)
Documents accurate, specific, complete patient care data according to policy and procedure guidelines
Assures safe, cost effective operation and function of pertinent equipment and utilizes appropriate infection control techniques in all areas
Required Qualifications:
Associate Degree - Respiratory Therapy
RT license in state of practice
Certified Respiratory Therapist
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 30 days)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within six months)
Preferred Qualifications:
2 Years respiratory therapy experience in an ICU setting
2 Years pediatric experience
Registered Respiratory Therapist
