Full job description
The Northwest Hospital Float Pool is a designated supplemental staffing pool designed to be used by nursing areas when unit staffing is insufficient to meet patient care needs. Associates that are hired into the float pool are assigned to work in one of the following designated patient care groupings and must be willing to work in all areas of a designated patient care grouping:
Critical Care, Acute Care, Telemetry, Emergency Dept, BHU
Summary:
Under the direction of the unit manager, this role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct age-appropriate clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Credentials:
Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree;
1-3 years experience
Maryland Registered Nurse License
American Heart Association BLS Certification
Specialty certification preferred
BLS & ACLS Required - Critical Care/Telemetry
BLS Required - BHU/OR/Acute Care
ACLS & PALS Required - ED
Pay Range: $37.15 to $57.58 Based On Experience
