Elementary Soccer Assistant Coach (K–3)

About the Role
Brighton School is seeking an Elementary Soccer Assistant Coach to support student-athletes in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. This part-time position requires about 5–6 hours per week, totaling 32 hours during the eight-week fall season.
Hours are 3:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m. on practice days and 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. on game days. The role includes three practices per week and two games during the season, with the potential for additional seasonal coaching opportunities.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the Head Coach during soccer practices and games

Help teach age-appropriate soccer fundamentals, skills, and sportsmanship

Demonstrate a consistent commitment to the safety and well-being of student-athletes

Encourage teamwork, confidence, and positive participation

Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and other stakeholders

Support the coordination and scheduling of practices and games

Assist with the management of athletic equipment, uniforms, and facilities
What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree encouraged

Prior coaching experience required, preferably in soccer or youth athletics

Knowledge of fundamental soccer skills, rules, and techniques

Ability to coach athletes of different ages and skill levels

Strong communication and organizational skills

A positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach to coaching young athletes

Ability to access and utilize technology
-
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with faculty, staff, administrators, students, parents, and community members
