Job Summary:
Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.
As a Project Engineer, you will act as the link between the Sales, Engineering, Production, and Project Management teams. You will provide technical oversight to ensure customer designs and specifications are delivered to the highest standards.
What a typical day looks like:
- Coordination of project technical planning and design with execution.
- Support the sales team during tender submissions by ensuring technical compliance with relevant standards and regulations and providing guidance on specification CDE and technical submittals.
- Work with the electrical and mechanical engineering teams to turn successful tenders into deliverable designs and review those designs to confirm the proposed solution.
- Prepare project-specific design calculations.
- Communicate at all levels in a clear, concise way to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the manufacturing and production teams during build, assembly, and testing.
- Review O&M manuals and training materials.
- Act as the technical point of contact for live projects, supporting Project Management during vendor calls, on-site delivery, and commissioning activities as needed.
- Assist RCA reporting through collaboration with the Quality team.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience with LV/MV switchgear, control panels, and electrical distribution systems.
- Strong understanding of single line diagrams, protection devices, and electrical design principles.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and produce accurate engineering documentation.
- Working knowledge of UL standards relating to switchgear and control gear assemblies.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Travel 20%
