The Field Service Technician supports Newman Regency Group and its related products and service lines by providing technical expertise and customer support. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, delivering technical assistance and consulting services, preparing job quotations, conducting customer training, and serving as the primary liaison between customers and the company’s sales team to ensure timely and effective service. This position will be supporting Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
What you'll do:
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve customer-reported technical issues in the field
- Perform equipment inspections and analyze findings to identify the root cause of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or system-related problems
- Recommend and implement appropriate corrective actions, including repair, replacement, or adjustment of equipment
- Perform startup, commissioning, preventive maintenance, warranty service, and billable repair work on company products
- Prepare quotes and estimates for repair work, as needed
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment and control systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components
- Evaluate equipment performance and make adjustments to ensure proper operation and reliability
- Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and records of work performed
- Adhere to all company safety policies and customer site safety requirements
What you bring:
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems
- Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing industrial equipment, valves, actuators, or similar mechanical systems preferred
- Experience within the water/ wastewater industry preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple service calls and priorities
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas to customer sites with occasional overnight travel
- Valid driver's license
