Are you an experienced Accountant with a knack for precision and a passion for construction? We are a leading construction firm seeking a talented and dedicated Accountant to join our team. This role will provide you with the opportunity to apply your accounting skills and knowledge in an exciting and dynamic industry. You will be responsible for handling the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that all financial records are accurate, and that all staff members are paid on time. Your job will be integral to the smooth running of our operations and the continued success of our business.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Accountant, you will be tasked with an array of responsibilities that are crucial to the financial health of our organization. These include:
1. Managing the AR (Accounts Receivable) function, ensuring the timely collection of payments and resolution of any disputes.
2. Utilizing Sage software to maintain accurate financial records and generate insightful reports.
3. Leveraging Salesforce to manage client relationships and track sales data.
4. Conducting regular accounts reconciliations to verify the accuracy of our financial data.
5. Facilitating communication between internal departments and external organizations, such as vendors, clients, and regulatory bodies.
6. Preparing AIA billing statements in accordance with industry standards and client contracts.
7. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
8. Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly Sage, and CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
4. Strong knowledge of AR management and AIA billing procedures.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
6. Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
7. A solid understanding of financial regulations and standards in the construction industry.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
