Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Santa Rosa, where our team of licensed professionals provides comprehensive care in a nurturing setting. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, child-centered care to patients under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist, ensuring a developmentally appropriate approach at all times.
• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and overall confidence in each child.
• Utilize creative, play-based interventions to engage children in therapeutic exercises and activities, fostering a positive therapy experience.
• Regularly monitor and document each child’s progress and respond to the supervising PT with detailed reports to inform ongoing treatment strategies.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers, providing education on the importance of home exercises and helping them reinforce therapeutic goals outside of sessions.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive clinic culture that celebrates the unique abilities of all children, regardless of their challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on pediatric patients, ranging from infants to teenagers, with diverse needs including developmental delays, physical disabilities, and orthopedic conditions. You will engage with children in a way that not only addresses their physical needs but also connects with their emotions and developmental stages. As you build relationships with each child, your interventions will promote not only physical healing but also emotional and social development.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Hold a current PTA license or be license-eligible in the state of California.
• Possess a collaborative spirit and a genuine love for working in a team-oriented environment.
• Have the patience, energy, and adaptability necessary to meet each child’s unique needs throughout their treatment journey.
• Display a strong passion for pediatric therapy and a desire to engage children in meaningful ways.

Preferred Experience

• While pediatric experience is preferred, we welcome recent graduates who have completed pediatric clinical rotations as part of their education.
• Experience with developmental evaluations and intervention planning is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
