Outside Sales Account Manager – Westport, CT
A growing, people-focused sales team within an established service business is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager to drive relationship-based sales in the Fairfield and New Haven, CT area. This is an opportunity to build your income quickly working with motivated inbound leads, in a supportive, consultative environment. Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary of $60K as a 1099 independent contractor
- Uncapped commission (20%/30% structure), with realistic potential to earn well into six figures first year
- Path to double your base income within 6 months
- Flexible split: approx. 60% office, 40% fieldwork

Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be able to work as a 1099 independent contractor (no W2, no benefits)
- Reliable transportation necessary for field visits across Fairfield / New Haven, CT
- Willing to work in the Westport, CT office about 3 days per week when not at appointments
- Able to work most Saturdays (half day)
- Comfortable with commission-based, uncapped variable pay
- 2–6 years of professional experience, ideally including sales or marketing
- Coachable and open to learning a defined, low-pressure sales process
- Embraces a consultative approach — not a scripted or aggressive closer

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Call and vet inbound, warm leads; schedule and complete onsite client visits
- Guide clients through consultative, low-pressure conversations during face-to-face meetings
- Close deals onsite when it’s the right fit — current team closes about 60% of meetings
- Maintain a weekly cadence of 10+ appointments and consistent deal closures
- Split time between the Westport office (about 60%) and field visits
- Work a high-call-volume half-day on Saturdays
- Accurately track activity and manage client relationships throughout the process
