Position Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
Schedule: Shift based
Location: Livonia, Michigan
Specialty: Trauma, Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery
Hospital Info: 304 Beds, Level II Trauma Center
Team Size: 6 surgeons, 13 APPs
Teaching Opportunities: Yes - Residents, Medical Students, Fellows, APPs

Requirements:
Board Certified in General Surgery
Board Certified in Surgical Critical Care
ACS or SCC Fellowship completion required
Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA license
ACLS/BLS certified
Duties & Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
Provide comprehensive care in Trauma Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery
Participate in the care of trauma patients across the full continuum, from initial resuscitation through rehabilitation
Serve as a clinical educator for General Surgery Residents and Surgical Critical Care Fellows
Engage in clinical research and scholarly activities
Collaborate on a multidisciplinary trauma program focused on quality, safety, and education
Documenting in Epic EMR
