North Torrington Veterinary Hospital is a long-standing general practice hospital with deep ties to the community, nestled in the foothills of Lichfield Hills a charming New England town. Our goal is to provide compassionate and quality medicine while striving to make an impact in our community and treat our patients/clients like family.

Who We're Looking For:
We are currently looking to hire an Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.
Requirements:
3 years or more of Veterinary Technician Experience
Knowledge of industry tools and equipment is a plus. Experience working with these tools is even better
Passion for working with animals and their owners
Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
Has experience with proper animal handling, fear-free training, and restraint
Ability to learn common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting
Excellent communication and ability to gain strong organizational skills while working together as a team.

Pay Range: $22.00-$28.00 based on experience
Weekly Hours:38-40 hours Full-time with full-time benefits
Shift: Day Time
