Full job description
About Ramp
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
Ramp is in a critical phase of growth. We grew immensely last year and are building out a talented business systems team to ensure we maintain this trajectory for years to come. You’ll work directly with our Sales, Account Management, Partnerships, and Product teams to execute mission-critical business systems projects across the organization. This is a key role where you will be uniquely positioned to impact the full picture of Ramp’s growth efforts through systems development.
What You'll Do
Own a GTM systems domain end to end: its roadmap, the architecture decisions inside it and its operational health
Build and deploy Salesforce automation end to end: record-triggered and screen flows, validation rules, custom objects and fields, permission sets and approvals
Translate business requirements into solution designs and write them up as the business outcome they produce rather than a list of objects and fields
Prioritize incoming requests against ROI. Make the call on what gets built, what gets deferred, and what gets declined, and show the numbers behind it
Own the integrations across the stack, including lead routing, sequence enrollment, meeting booking, enrichment and partner attribution, spanning Salesforce, HubSpot, LeanData, Outreach, Gong, Chili Piper, ZoomInfo and Workato
Own the dashboards and data models your domain runs on. Translate business questions into reporting that is accurate, documented and actually used to make decisions
Drive cross-functional alignment on scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs and carry it through to closure without a manager in the room
Use AI to move faster on flow logic, test cases, documentation and impact analysis and define the guardrails for how the team uses it with GTM data
What You'll Need
5+ years in business systems at a fast-paced company
Salesforce Admin certification or equivalent hands-on experience, plus real depth in HubSpot
Non-trivial Salesforce flows built and debugged when they broke, and a clear view of why declarative automation goes wrong at scale
A habit of framing problems rather than waiting for a spec: ambiguous requests taken on, decided and shipped
Fluency translating business requirements into a solution, and authoring that solution in terms of the outcome it drives and how that outcome will be measured
A metric-driven approach to prioritization: requests ranked on ROI, effort weighed against ongoing maintenance cost and the reasoning made explicit to the requester
Multi-month projects delivered with cross-team dependencies and no PM attached: sequencing the work, holding scope, flagging risk before it lands, clearing blockers rather than reporting them and keeping everyone informed without being asked
Fluency with AI tools to build, audit and document faster and a clear sense of where they stop being reliable
Nice to Have
Experience in channel or marketing systems: partner sourcing, revenue share and payouts, or campaign structure, UTM tracking, lead source and multi-touch attribution
Cross-functional program management across engineering, sales and finance stakeholders
A product mindset toward internal tooling: treating stakeholders as users, shipping in phases and measuring adoption after launch
Snowflake, Looker or similar BI and warehouse tooling
Working knowledge of Apex or Lightning Web Components, enough to recognize when declarative is the wrong answer
Linear or similar project management software
Time spent at a high-growth startup or technology company
Benefits available to all full-time Ramp employees (Global)
Flexible PTO
Centralized home-office equipment ordering
Health and wellness stipend
Budget for intra-office travel
