Senior Business Aligned Finance Analyst

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Aligned Finance Analyst within the Branch Banking Finance team, supporting Regional Executives across the Branch Banking network. This role is part of the broader Regional Finance Support team, providing strategic guidance, financial insights, and trusted partnership to Regional Banking Executives, Directors, and cross-functional business partners.

In this role, you will:

• Partner with Regional Bank Directors to drive business growth by connecting key business drivers to financial outcomes, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending best practices across the organization.
• Analyze financial and operational performance metrics, develop executive-level reporting and presentations, and provide meaningful insights into business results and trends.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional partners to enhance operating models, support strategic initiatives, and deliver data-driven recommendations.
• Serve as the finance lead for branch staffing, partnering closely with Field Leaders, Recruiting, and HR to monitor workforce needs and optimize staffing strategies.
• Lead implementation and evolution of staffing models, streamline processes, strengthen controls, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support forecasting, financial planning, reporting, GL research, organizational structure integrity, and ad hoc analyses that drive informed business decisions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by providing financial expertise, strategic analysis, and actionable business insights.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and key business performance metrics.
• Proven ability to consult and build relationships with Executive leaders, influencing decisions through data-driven insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience using financial reporting, database querying, or analytical tools (Essbase, Dimensional, Power BI, or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-starter with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and continuous improvement skills, including the ability to leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
