Job Summary and Qualifications

Summary:

The Radiology Technician Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her department. If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today!

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and provides care needed as described in the departmental policies and procedures
  • Provides health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment
  • Performs radiographic procedures producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner
  • Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor that reflects a high standard of medical ethics
  • Recognizes conditions essential for the successful completion of procedures
  • Provides leadership and supervision of all employees and students in the diagnostic section
  • Provides appropriate health care services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology school
  • Registry eligible with A.R.R.T. and within six months become registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • One year experience preferred
