Join Sentara Health s interdisciplinary Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry team , providing expert psychiatric care to medically complex and emergent patients across Sentara s facilities. You ll work closely with ED, medical, and surgical teams, supported by licensed therapists, behavioral health navigators, and a systemwide psychiatric response network.

Practice Highlights
- Primary assignment at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital
- Schedule: 7 on/ 7 off (7a-7p)
- Daily co-management of ED behavioral health patients
- Inpatient consults on behavioral, medical, and surgical units
- Virtual consult support to lower-volume facilities
- No inpatient psych admissions (handled by dedicated inpatient psychiatrists)
- Strong interdisciplinary support: APPs, therapists, navigators, case managers
Key Responsibilities
- Psychiatric consultation for complex medical and co-occurring conditions
- Diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning
- Medication management and crisis intervention
- Collaborative, team-based care across hospital services
- Supervision of APPs and students as needed
