Serrala SAP Archiving Lead

We are seeking an experienced Serrala Archiving Lead to lead the design, implementation, and deployment of SAP data and document archiving solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments. The role will focus on archiving strategy, information lifecycle management, compliance, system performance, and successful migration and transformation initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of Serrala archiving solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Define the enterprise archiving strategy, roadmap, governance model, retention policies, and operating procedures.
• Conduct discovery and design workshops to identify data growth drivers, archiving objects, business dependencies, retrieval requirements, and compliance needs.
• Configure and validate SAP archiving objects, ADK, AIS, ILM, write/delete/store sequences, background jobs, indexes, and archived-data access.
• Integrate Serrala with SAP Content Server, OpenText, content repositories, and other enterprise content management platforms.
• Analyze data volumes and database growth and optimize archiving jobs, scheduling, sequencing, and system performance.
• Ensure archived data and documents remain accessible for reporting, audits, legal holds, and business requirements.
• Support S/4HANA conversion and transformation activities, including legacy data disposition, testing, reconciliation, cutover, and hypercare.
• Partner with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Order-to-Cash, Basis, Security, Infrastructure, Data, Legal, and Compliance teams.
• Manage onsite/offshore teams, vendors, dependencies, risks, issues, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
• Monitor archive jobs, database reduction, system performance, retrieval success, and operational compliance during stabilization.
• Establish knowledge transfer, support processes, monitoring controls, and continuous improvement practices.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with SAP data archiving, document archiving, and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM).
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing Serrala archiving solutions in SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Archiving Objects, ADK, Archive Information System (AIS), SAP ILM, retention rules, and data destruction controls.
• Experience integrating Serrala with SAP Content Server, OpenText, or equivalent enterprise content repositories.
• Experience with data volume management, database growth analysis, archiving job scheduling, dependency sequencing, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of retention policies, legal/audit requirements, SOX, privacy, and records management.
• Experience with S/4HANA transformation/conversion projects, including legacy data management, testing, reconciliation, cutover, and hypercare.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, technical documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience managing onsite/offshore teams and vendors in complex enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Knowledge of Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Order-to-Cash business processes.
• Experience establishing enterprise archiving governance and operating models.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and delivery management skills.
