Job Description


As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, access control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the industrial facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document security-related incidents, observations, and irregularities.
  • Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and follow applicable laws, company policies, and site requirements while performing armed duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
