This large hospital in Virginia provides comprehensive inpatient cardiothoracic surgical services with established clinical infrastructure and protocols to support quality patient care delivery. The facility maintains on-site resources to facilitate coordinated care for the cardiothoracic surgery service line throughout each assigned coverage period. Clinicians will work on-site within a structured inpatient environment.

Virginia offers a range of regional attractions suited to varied interests, including historic sites, national parks, and performing arts venues. The area features year-round recreational and cultural options, including outdoor activities and shopping destinations throughout the region.

Clinicians will provide full-scope cardiothoracic surgery coverage in an inpatient setting on a day shift basis, working a 5x8 schedule two weeks per month. Clinical responsibilities include floor rounding, endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH), and radial artery harvesting. Call coverage is required on a 1:4 rotation encompassing weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The initial stretch of this assignment is anticipated to be six months, with coverage continuing on an ongoing basis thereafter.
