Beginning in December 2026, this long-term assignment offers physicians the opportunity to help launch a new hospital-based obstetric program while practicing within a modern women's services environment designed around maternal safety, collaborative care, and 24/7 in-house physician coverage. This is an ideal assignment for experienced OB Hospitalists seeking predictable scheduling, focused inpatient practice, and the opportunity to be part of a growing regional women's health program from day one. Schedule Start Date: December 7, 2026 Approximately 10 twenty-four-hour shifts per month Long-term coverage Shift schedule to be finalized prior to launch Practice Environment Practice within a modern Family Care Birthing Center serving the greater Metro East region near St. Louis. Program features include: Dedicated hospital-based obstetric practice One physician providing continuous in-house coverage Modern Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum suites Dedicated Obstetric Emergency Department (OB-ED) Level II Special Care Nursery with neonatology support Two dedicated cesarean delivery operating rooms Private labor and postpartum accommodations Family-centered maternity care model Collaboration with community OB/GYN physicians and nursing teams Clinical Scope The OB Hospitalist serves as the in-house obstetric physician, providing immediate evaluation and management of inpatient obstetric patients while supporting labor and delivery operations.
