We're looking for a .NET Developer who's comfortable living in a production support environment. This isn't a pure "build from scratch" role. You'll be maintaining and improving a live equities back office system that a trading desk depends on every day.
Role and responsibilities
- Handle daily support and resolve escalated tickets, working closely with business and technical teams to fix issues fast
- Write, debug, and refactor code in .NET to improve and stabilize the existing system
- Support and maintain scripts in Perl, Unix Shell, and Windows batch for scheduled jobs and automation
- Follow formal Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes
- Participate in requirements discussions and help shape solutions with the team
- Build new features or small applications when the roadmap calls for it
- Keep documentation up to date as the system evolves
- 5-9 years of experience, ideally in Application Support with real hands-on development, not just monitoring
- Strong .NET and SQL skills
- Experience with Perl, Unix Shell, or Windows batch scripting
- Comfort working in a ticket-driven, process-heavy environment (Incident/Change/Problem Management)
- Prior exposure to equities or trading back office systems is a big plus
- Good communication skills. You'll be talking to both business and technical people daily
Company’s Benefits
At Talan, we invest in our employees' well-being and empower them with benefits, including:
- 💵 Competitive salary between USD $105,000 - US$130,000
- 💸401(k) retirement plan with company matching
- 🌴15 days of paid vacation per year at hire and up to 27 according to seniority (annual untaken vacation days are cashed out)
- 📴8 paid holidays + 5 sick days + 2 personal days per year
- ❤️🩹Company health, dental, and vision insurance plans + FSA
- 🦺Voluntary STD and LTD
- 🚍 Commuter/transit benefits
