Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2100 per week.

Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Saint Luke’s is a nicotine-free health system, including patches, gum, vape, etc. All travelers will be tested upon hire. If nicotine is found in your system, you will be canceled and may be ineligible for rehire.

Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Community hospital experience is required. Required clinical skills include MS/Tele, telemetry, cardiac telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring on the unit, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, feeding tube care and management, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, heparin protocols, managing cardiac drips with no titration, PCA, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), total joint replacements, surgical drains, chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen administration, tracheostomy care/management, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac.

Required Credentials: Kansas licensure is required, in addition to Missouri licensure. You must have a Missouri license and be in the process of applying for a Kansas license, or you must have compact licensure to apply.

Special Requests: If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. General intermediate population with sepsis/infection, wounds, CHF, cardiac arrhythmias, AMI, CVA/TIA, altered mental status, ETOH withdrawal, SI, general post-op, ortho, urology procedures, and GI bleed.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: 4-6 shifts every 6 weeks. No call required. RTO: No more than 7 days.

Floating Requirements: Will float within service line and to sister facilities as needed.
