Friday-Saturday: 5:15 AM - 5:15 PM
Sunday-Monday: 5:15 PM - 5:15 AM

Location: Liberty, MO

Magna is seeking a Production Welder to support automotive manufacturing operations by performing MIG welding and weld quality inspections while ensuring parts meet customer and company quality standards. This is a hands-on manufacturing role for individuals who take pride in producing quality work in a fast-paced production environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform MIG and MIG braze welding on automotive components
• Inspect welds and finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Identify, troubleshoot, and correct weld defects when necessary
• Operate grinders, scrapers, and other powered equipment used in welding operations
• Monitor welding equipment and perform minor adjustments and repairs
• Change weld tips, wire spools, and clean nozzles to maintain weld quality and equipment performance
• Follow standardized work instructions and production requirements
• Maintain documentation related to production, scrap, and rework
• Support safety, quality, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with production leadership to achieve daily production goals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be able to pass welding competency tests
• Experience with MIG welding required
• Experience with MIG braze, ARC welding, TIG welding, and plasma cutting preferred
• Ability to safely use hand tools, grinders, and powered equipment
• Basic OSHA and workplace safety knowledge preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a production environment
• Manufacturing or automotive production experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to perform welding operations in a manufacturing environment
