Guardian is seeking a CARE Specialist to support in-force operations for life and disability insurance products. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for customers, processing policy transactions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and an outstanding service experience.

You Have

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service, banking, retail, hospitality, call center, or insurance environment
  • Experience processing customer transactions, account changes, or service requests
  • Strong communication skills across phone, email, and chat channels
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a regulated environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience working in a team-based environment and meeting productivity goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Insurance, financial services, banking, or operations experience
  • Experience handling financial transactions, reconciliations, or account servicing
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience working within compliance, quality, or fraud prevention frameworks
  • Experience utilizing AI-enabled tools and technologies

You Will

  • Deliver outstanding customer experiences by proactively communicating with customers regarding policy requests and transaction status.
  • Process financial and non-financial transactions including payments, policy changes, disbursements, beneficiary updates, and other service requests.
  • Develop expertise in life and disability insurance products, operational processes, fraud controls, and risk management practices.
  • Collaborate with teammates to meet quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Reporting Relationships

As our CARE Specialist, you will report to a CARE Leader, who reports to a CARE Manager.

Location

The primary location for this position is Bethlehem, PA with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).

Travel

0-10% travel may be required for this position.

Salary Range:

$49,260.00 - $73,890.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
