POSITION SUMMARY: The Physical Therapist (PT) in the acute care hospital setting is responsible for the evaluation and assessment of strength and mobility deficits, effective and efficient delivery of rehabilitation services under an established plan of care, and timely documentation of services. The PT consults with other members of their patients’ medical teams and collaborates with the patient and/or their support system to promote the highest level of safety and independence.
Qualifications:They must have a valid and unencumbered Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility.
They must have a qualifying degree in Physical Therapy.
They must have a current CPR Certification.
At least one year of clinical experience within the acute care setting is required.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Effective leadership and patient relationship skills.
Ability to exercise mature judgment with initiative in analyzing and solving problems.
Maintains professional attitudes and respect for the hospital site and their staff.
Treats all patients and their families with dignity, compassion, empathy and respect.
Proven track record with high volume workloads.
