Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Role in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour
Job Schedule:
The exact schedule for this role has not been determined. That is common for this type of position and may depend on pre-hire steps that take time which could include the onboarding and training processes. If hired, your manager will work with you to determine your schedule based on business needs and your availability.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor activity, and/or deliveries in accordance with site requirements, while documenting security-related concerns and reporting them through proper channels.
- Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, patrol activity, and/or observations, and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and site contacts during routine operations and emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR a Police Academy Certificate OR a Corrections Academy Certificate.
- Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
