Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Work for a company built around safety, integrity, teamwork, continuous learning, and taking on challenging projects that matter.

  • Lead technically demanding water and wastewater infrastructure instead of simply managing projects from behind a desk.

  • Work side by side with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, owners, and field teams to drive successful project delivery.

  • Mentor and develop other construction professionals while helping build Gerber’s next generation of leaders.

Your New Role

This is a primarily site-based role, with an office located in Lehi, UT, working closely with the treatment plant owner, project team, Superintendents, Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other key stakeholders. You’ll serve as a Senior Project Manager for major water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects along Utah’s Wasatch Front, with primary project locations in American Fork, UT 84003 and Jordan Valley, UT 84065. Specifically, you will:

  • Take ownership of large, complex projects from preconstruction through project closeout.

  • Oversee design coordination, project budgets, construction schedules, contracts, cost tracking, forecasting, and change orders.

  • Coordinate closely with field operations to keep safety, quality, schedule, and project execution on track.

  • Apply deep water and wastewater treatment plant construction expertise to solve complex field and project challenges.

  • Lead and mentor Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and other team members with clear communication and accountability.

  • Build productive relationships with treatment plant owners, subcontractors, vendors, design teams, and project stakeholders.

  • Use construction management and project controls tools, including Procore or similar software, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Excel, and Google Suite.

  • Maintain the technical expertise, leadership, communication, and professionalism necessary to earn treatment plant owner approval.

Hiring Expectations: Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience.

  • 10+ years of direct water and/or wastewater treatment plant construction experience is required.

  • Exceptional candidates with 8 to 9 years of experience may be considered only when they demonstrate substantial, directly relevant clean-water or wastewater treatment plant construction expertise.

  • Senior-level project management experience delivering large, complex municipal and/or industrial water or wastewater treatment plant construction projects.

  • Experience managing $50M+ complex construction projects is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of water treatment, wastewater treatment, heavy civil construction, concrete construction, construction management, preconstruction, project controls, scheduling, cost forecasting, contracts, change orders, and field coordination.

  • Generic commercial construction, heavy civil, utilities, or general infrastructure experience by itself is not sufficient. Substantial direct water/wastewater treatment plant construction experience is required.

  • MOPO/MOP or shutdown/startup planning experience is preferred.

  • Strong communication, team leadership, mentoring, and project management skills.

  • Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Excel, and Google Suite.

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Must be willing and able to work primarily on-site along Utah’s Wasatch Front, including projects in American Fork and Jordan Valley, and work closely with the treatment plant owner and project team.

  • Candidates located outside Utah may be considered if they can meet the position’s on-site work requirements. Relocation assistance may be considered on a case-by-case basis for exceptional candidates.

  • Demonstrated record of successfully leading complex construction projects through completion.
