The Operations team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manager General Manufacturing 2 based out of Woodland Hills, CA.

 

What You’ll Get to Do:

 

You will be responsible for developing and administering budgets, executing, and recommending modifications to organizational processes and procedures. This leadership position requires working closely and collaborating with the Woodland Hills and SLC manufacturing organizations, engineering, program office, mission assurance, transportation, and supply chain management. You will also be responsible for the daily operations of a teams or work cells.

 

These responsibilities include:

• Direct supervision of the staff.
• Assignment of work, schedules, day-to-day workflow, and operating costs.
• Assignments are received in task-oriented terms.
• Provides directions to subordinates using established policies and procedures.
• Supports targeted training plan execution for new operators introduced to the team or work cell to ensure proficiency is obtained and maintained.
• Works with other functional areas to ensure program goals are executed in support of cost, schedule and quality.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree + 5 years of experience; Master's Degree + 3 years of experience; Ph.D + 0 years of experience (Note, an additional 4+ years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
• Experience in solving problems on the manufacturing floor.
• Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite, such as Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• U.S. citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Clearance.
• Experience in managing consumables / supplies.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Optics / Glass manufacturing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Management discipline.
• 5+ years of related experience in Lean Manufacturing, data driven decision making and visual factory management.
• Experience with clean room protocols.

Primary Level Salary Range: $121,100.00 - $181,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
