Full job description

Our client, a leader in the in-vitro diagnostics industry, is seeking a QA Specialist I to join their team. As a QA Specialist I, you will be part of the Quality Control department supporting laboratory operations and ensuring product quality. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Title: QA Specialist I

Location: San Diego CA (100% On-Site)

Duration: 6 Months contract with possibility of extension or conversion

Shifts: 10PM TO 6:30AM

Pay Range: $30/hr. - $34/hr.

What's the Job?

  • Run in-process, stability, calibration, final release, and experimental devices
  • Notify appropriate personnel of results and complete all associated data and documentation
  • Cross-train on all processes including in-process, stability, calibration, and final release
  • Solve process-related questions/problems and conduct minor investigations
  • Review device history records and train new employees/Quality Control Technicians

What's Needed?

  • High School/GED graduate or equivalent
  • 2 - 5 years of laboratory experience in quality control/assurance or manufacturing, preferably in in-vitro diagnostics
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
