Full job description
White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in beautiful La Jolla, CA, is seeking an on-call Home Health Aide to join our team. As the largest nonprofit owner/operator of senior living communities in California and one of the largest in the country, we are more than just a place to work. Pay Rate: $18.20 - $19.75
Shift: On-Call: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Job Duties:
- Engage in our philosophy for "Person-Directed Care";
- Provide assistance in the personal care and protection of our residents in their private residence;
- Assist in dressing, grooming, ambulating, transferring, feeding, bathing, oral hygiene, etc.;
- Prepare meals and assist in dining activities as needed;
- Assist and escort residents to medical and social appointments;
- Perform home management such as housekeeping, shopping, laundry, sorting of mail, etc.;
- Accurately report unusual symptoms and problems of residents to supervisor;
- Attend and actively participate in training sessions and meetings as appropriate
Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent;

Some vocational/technical training in the nursing field specifically with elderly and dementia and/or CNA preferred
- Proficiency in use of computer for input of resident information
- CPR and First Aid certification required (may be obtained after hire)
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must have clearance with the Department of Motor Vehicles with no serious violations and maintain automobile insurance with coverage acceptable for applicable state.
