Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to titrate drips.

Preferred Skills/Experience: PICU and NICU experience preferred.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Manager will consider block scheduling if unit needs are met. RTO must be requested upfront and is limited to 7 days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.

Unit Details: Children’s unit serves ages 0-18, including routine stable med-surg, intermediate peds, and occasional ICU feeder/grower overflow. Common cases include ortho, appendicitis, GI, MVAs, respiratory, diabetes, seizures, failure to thrive, and rare jaundice/bili babies. Provides pre-op and second-phase recovery for some pediatric patients. Common titratable drips include Tylenol, Keppra, and insulin. Uses CPAP, high flow, and nasal cannula with RT support in house 24/7 and minimal RN troubleshooting. Remote Phillips telemetry is monitored on another floor; RNs are not required to interpret strips. Pediatrician coverage is in house 7 days a week until 5p and on call at night. Locked unit.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: EOW or every 3rd weekend. Holiday requirement: 2 per year.

Floating Requirements: First to float. As census fluctuates, RN will primarily float to NICU and newborn nursery and could be utilized for 1:1 sitting.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
