Job Description

onsemi is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer at our Nampa, Idaho site. onsemi is a leading CMOS imaging company with demonstrated market and technology leadership and is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will be an integral part of its wafer test operation. In this role, our Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for installing, developing, and maintaining all prober equipment, as well as supporting equipment for probe card cleaning and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Prober hard-down support and improving equipment availability / up time

• Improving prober maintenance routines and best practices

• Vendor contact for support issues, hardware updates, and new equipment

• Prober device file builds and modifications

• Equipment installation and modification

• Probe card troubleshooting and repair

• Support projects to improve probe yield, especially related to contact issues

• Collect data and support findings and investigations related to equipment issues

• Optimize probing parameters and procedures

• Create and fine-tune probe card cleaning/maintenance routines to maximize probe card lifespan

• Create and debug all new probe card reference files on PRVX/VX4's

• Create FFI Image Capture routines on the MicroVu

• Develop training programs for production, equipment support, and engineering

• Evaluate customer requirements and work with suppliers in addressing these requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BS or industry-related experience in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering

• 3- 5 years of experience in a combination of wafer test and troubleshooting preferred

• PRVX, MicroVu, and light control module experience is a plus

• Effective communication with internal and external customers, effective presentation skills

• Strong acumen toward safety and accounting for safety and ergonomic considerations in designs and engineering solutions

• Preferred experience is in a repetitive, high-volume manufacturing environment.
