Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: - 1-3 years of experience preferred.

Unit Details: - Responsible for the pulmonary care of critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under the direction of a physician with minimal supervision. - Performs patient assessments and institutes respiratory care plans. - Performs various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital. - Emergency response (Code Blue and White). - Airway management including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning. - Delivery of aerosolized drugs. - Ventilator management, including setup and operation. - Oral hygiene. - Airway retaining device placement and maintenance. - Airway support device management including BiPAP and CPAP devices. - Oxygen delivery devices and therapeutic monitoring. - Chest film analysis. - Blood gas collection and analysis. - EKG analysis. - RRTs may function as shift leader or serve in the capacity of team leader. - Advanced practice skills may include therapeutic gas management and monitoring, including INO and HeO2; pulmonary function testing; bronchoscopy assist; hemodynamic monitoring; waveform analysis; nocturnal SpO2 evaluation (desaturation studies); polysomnography; and transport duties.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
