A manufacturer in Aliquippa is hiring a Junior Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of plant equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Production team, and is a strong fit for a mechanically inclined individual looking to build a career in industrial maintenance.

Compensation

What You'll Do
This role performs scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems, inspecting equipment regularly to catch potential problems before they cause breakdowns. Duties include lubricating, cleaning, adjusting, and replacing components as needed, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment condition.

The technician assists with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues, responding to breakdowns and helping restore equipment to operation safely and efficiently. This includes supporting senior maintenance personnel on more complex repairs and projects, replacing worn or damaged components, and performing basic fabrication and mechanical work. The role also supports Production with equipment adjustments, changeovers, and minor repairs, assists with installation, relocation, and commissioning of machinery, and handles basic facility maintenance such as lighting, doors, and plumbing.

Safety is central to the role: following company safety procedures and OSHA requirements, applying proper lockout/tagout procedures, and maintaining good housekeeping in maintenance areas. The technician helps maintain organization and control of tools, parts, and supplies, records completed maintenance work in the maintenance system, and supports the development of preventive maintenance procedures. Over time, the role involves identifying recurring equipment problems, supporting reliability and efficiency projects, and progressively taking on more complex responsibilities while working alongside experienced maintenance personnel.

Required Qualifications

• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Ability to use common hand and power tools
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and equipment manuals
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform physical work

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, manufacturing, or a related field
• Technical school, mechanical/electrical training, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Forklift experience or ability to become certified
