🔧 What You’ll Do (Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities)
As a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician, you will:
Perform repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy‑duty vehicles.
Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
Use onboard vehicle computer systems to identify failure modes and adjust Engine & Vehicle Control Modules.
Respond to road calls and emergency repair needs.
Review and complete repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
Document work performed using fleet maintenance software.
Test‑drive trucks after repairs to ensure safety and reliability.
Assist team members with repairs and collaborate in a supportive shop environment.
Maintain a clean, safe, OSHA‑compliant workspace.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
🛠️ What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Proficiency in diesel diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and heavy‑duty truck repair.
A basic tool set.
A Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
Hydraulic repair experience (a strong plus!).
Availability to work a 2pm to 12am schedule.
