Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to support quality assurance and quality control throughout a manufacturing facility.
This position will work closely with quality technicians, production supervisors, department leaders, and plant management to identify and correct quality concerns, address non-conformances, improve communication between departments, and ensure established quality procedures are consistently followed.
The Quality Supervisor will report directly to the Quality Manager and serve as the primary backup to the Quality Manager when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with overseeing quality assurance and quality control throughout the manufacturing plant
Provide support and backup to Quality Technicians when non-conformances arise
Verify that internal inspections are performed according to established quality procedures
Identify and communicate quality issues that may impact production or customers
Partner with production supervisors and plant management to identify and correct product and process concerns
Support the investigation and resolution of customer quality complaints
Oversee the care and proper use of quality inspection equipment throughout the plant and warehouse
Understand and support calibration requirements for quality measuring equipment
Audit departmental processes to ensure procedures are being followed and required documentation is complete
Review documentation associated with returned customer goods to ensure accurate defect information is captured
Perform random audits of outgoing materials prior to shipment
Complete ISIR and PPAP dimensional documentation
Accurately document quality information using established spreadsheets and systems
Promote strong housekeeping and organization throughout the quality department and related areas
Serve as the Quality Manager's backup when required
Qualifications
3+ years of quality assurance/quality control experience in a manufacturing environment
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Strong knowledge of measurement equipment, including:
Calipers
Micrometers
Pi tapes
Dial indicators
Other precision measuring tools
Experience with ISIR and PPAP documentation
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Microsoft Access experience is a plus
Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems preferred
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with production, quality, and management teams
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on quality professional with manufacturing experience who understands both the technical and operational sides of quality. You should be comfortable reading blueprints, using precision measurement equipment, documenting non-conformances, auditing processes, and working directly with production teams to resolve quality issues.
This is a great opportunity for a Quality Technician, Senior Quality Technician, Quality Specialist, or Quality Lead who is ready to take on additional responsibility and grow into a supervisory-level position.
