Job Title: Wire Harness Assembler New Sharon location
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt; hourly starting rate $17.50/hour
SUMMARY Fabricates and assembles electrical harnesses following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Proficient interpersonal and communication skills, both over the phone and in person. Ability to read, write and comprehend blueprints, documents and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

- Assembles machine electrical harnesses according to print, written instructions, and established shop practices.
- Uses machine or hand tools to cut wires to correct length and strip insulation.
- Crimps and solders terminals to wires.
- Splices wires using ultrasonic welder or soldering iron.
- Lays out, routes, and connects wiring to various connectors and electrical components.
- Maintains organization and upkeep of work areas.
- Performs additional tasks as required.
- Works in a safe manner at all times, following all safety guidelines.
