As a Permanent RN- Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be an integral part of a dynamic, compassionate healthcare team dedicated to the highest quality of patient care. Responsibilities:

1. Providing direct patient care to laboring women, which includes monitoring the fetal heart rate, timing contractions, and assisting with various delivery methods.
2. Administering medications, performing episiotomies, and assisting with cesarean sections as needed.
3. Collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, midwives, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
4. Educating and supporting patients and their families during the labor and delivery process, as well as in the postpartum period.
5. Monitoring and assessing the health and wellbeing of both the mother and baby during the postpartum period, and providing necessary care and interventions.
6. Advocating for patients and their families, ensuring they understand and can participate in their care, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
7. Documenting patient information accurately and completely in the electronic medical record

Job Details

Qualifications

1. Current and valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and delivery, postpartum care, pediatrics, women's health, or a related field.
3. BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required; certification in fetal monitoring preferred.
4. Strong clinical skills with the ability to react decisively in emergency situations.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with, and provide support to patients and their families.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team.
7. Knowledge of current best practices and evidence-based care in labor and delivery.
8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
