Social Services Director

Job Description <br><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Social Services in assigned community, working directly with residents, family members and coordinating care and support between interdisciplinary team. </p><p><strong>Essential Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Assess, evaluate and strive to meet the psychosocial needs of the residents.</li><li>Assists in the preparation of the Social Services budget and maintains compliance with budgetary guidelines.</li><li>Assists in creating, implementing, reviewing and revising Social Services policies and procedures updating as needed.</li><li>Provides information and referral to residents, families and staff that link individuals to internal and/or external services.</li><li>Disseminates information regarding available financial resources and helps maintain and insure continuation of any monetary benefits that residents are entitled and/or eligible.</li><li>Mediates disputes between and among residents, families and staff.</li><li>Assists with crisis intervention and assists with appropriate individuals to develop alternative coping strategies.</li><li>Designs, implements and evaluates programs and services that that serve individual needs and interests.</li><li>In compliance with the Company’s policies, if applicable, is responsible for interviewing, hiring, developing, supervising and following the Company’s performance management policy with direct reporting staff.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> <br>Qualifications <br><p><strong>Basic Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Social Work required, Masters Degree in Social Work preferred.</li><li>A minimum of two (2) years experience in long-term care preferred.</li><li>1-year experience in a supervisory capacity.</li><li>Experience with computer word processing and database programs.</li><li>Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.</li><li>Must possess excellent customer service skills</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions / Physical Requirements </strong></p><ul><li>Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.</li><li>Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.</li><li>Is subject to frequent interruptions.</li><li>Frequently interacts with relevant stakeholders including team members, applicants, hiring managers, developers, consultants, brokers.</li></ul> <br>Additional Information <br><p>If you are considering a position at Christian Living Communities | Cappella Living Solutions, we have a wide range of benefits to consider!
