The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging and accurate documentation standards. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care.Position Details:
This is a full time position at Mercy Aurora
Hours: Monday - Friday ; Mid Shift
3-12 hour shifts or 4-10 hour shifts
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
Experience: no experience required
Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
Certification/Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry or registry eligible. Achieved ARRT registry within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in operating radiographic imaging equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Physical Requirements:
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
