Summary:

A Graduate Teaching Assistant assists faculty in the delivery and administration of undergraduate or graduate courses. Responsibilities may include supporting classroom instruction, facilitating discussions, assisting students, grading assignments, preparing course materials, and providing administrative support to the instructor.

Essential Functions:

• Supporting classroom instruction.

• Facilitating discussions.

• Assisting students.

• Grading assignments.

• Preparing course materials.

• Providing administrative support to the instructor.

• Other duties as assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Part-time.

• 10 hours per week.

Salary Range:

• $20.00 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

• Graduate student at American University.
