Full job description
Special Education Teacher for a 36-week contract in Gardner, MA. Supports students with social-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs. Earns up to $57 per hour with competitive pay and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students in a social-emotional behavioral sub-separate classroom setting
Implement individualized education plans according to state and district standards
Collaborate with parents, staff, and other professionals to support student needs
Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment
Monitor and document student progress and adjust strategies as necessary
Manage a caseload of approximately 8 students
Qualifications:
MA K-8 Special Education Teacher license
Valid Massachusetts teaching license for K-8 Special Education
Minimum 1 year of special education teaching experience
Strong classroom management skills
Ability to work with a caseload of approximately 8 students
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Flexible, empathetic, and dedicated to student success
