The Opportunity

The position of Production Specialist III is responsible for coverage of all manufacturing aspects within our business unit located in Scarborough and Westbrook, Maine.  In this role you will perform the work required for the assembly of components, devices, and/or the final product as well as assigned maintenance activities to streamline production runtime that ensures the Company consistently meets or exceeds product quality, customer service expectations, productivity and financial objectives.   

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Ensures product meets specifications and identifies potential quality issues in a timely manner. Ensures issues are corrected and escalated as appropriate or halted immediately.  
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production equipment.  
  • Performs assigned maintenance activities on assigned equipment lines. 
  • Understands the specifications and in-process inspections of the product being produced. 
  • Works with team members and supervision to meet production schedules.  
  • Uses GDP on all quality forms and batch records. 
  • Shows care for work area by maintaining a clean and organized work area.  
  • Consistently displays the ability to properly operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment.  
  • Works closely with all departments to equipment KPIs are sustained.  
  • Critically observes surroundings and processes to work with team members to improve safety, quality, cost, delivery and production methods. 
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), reporting of hazards or unsafe conditions, and active participation in safety training and emergency response drills to maintain a safe working environment. 
  • Participates in making modifications to Production SOPs as necessary.  
  • Performs routine work in all production areas with limited supervision.  
  • Ensures quality of product using standard operating procedures, templates, training supervision, and good judgment.  
  • Provides input for enhancing efficiencies and modifying/creating SOPs to ensure accuracy/quality or improve productivity.  
  • May be subject to call back or extended hours as required.  

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • 2 + years' experience in a manufacturing environment.  
  • 2+ years' experience working with highly automated equipment 
  • 1 year of experience in a medical device or regulated environment  
  • Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of GMP and how it applies to specific responsibilities and manufacturing operations in the med device industry.  
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous machine maintenance and troubleshooting experience  
  • Prior Machine Operation experience in a medical device manufacturing environment. 
  • Bi-lingual in French, Portuguese, Lingala, Spanish, etc. 
  • OSHA-10 certification 
  • Experience with electronic Quality Management System

      The base pay for this position is

      $18.45 – $36.85/hour

      In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
