Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic outpatient orthopedic team at Balance Booster Rehab Center in Fort Pierce, Florida. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients on their path to recovery, helping them regain strength, mobility, and an improved quality of life. You will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement tailored treatment plans and support patient rehabilitation efforts.

Work Environment
This position is primarily onsite in our fully equipped hospital setting, designed to facilitate effective rehabilitation practices. You will have access to a range of therapeutic tools and equipment that enhance the patient’s recovery process, alongside a supportive team of professionals who are dedicated to your success. The work schedule is designed for optimal work-life balance, with Monday through Friday shifts available from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM, and the option of four 10-hour shifts, which means no weekend work!
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans and modify strategies based on patients' progress.
- Guide patients through various therapeutic exercises, ensuring correct technique and providing encouragement throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Monitor and document patients' progress regularly, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, including the management of therapy equipment and supplies, to ensure efficient patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment processes, home exercises, and injury prevention strategies to promote long-term health.
Patient Population / Client Focus
At Balance Booster Rehab Center, you will work with a diverse range of patients, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Your hands-on support and personalized attention will be integral in helping these patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their functional capabilities.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- A valid and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Florida.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and engage with patients.
Preferred Experience
While we value experience in outpatient settings, candidates with a variety of backgrounds are encouraged to apply. A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred, especially in orthopedic rehabilitation, as this will enhance your ability to contribute to our patient care efforts effectively.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $55,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to your salary, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 4% employer match, and life and disability insurance. We also provide 3 weeks of paid time off (PTO) along with 6 paid U.S. holidays each year, ensuring a well-rounded work-life balance.
