Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2390 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Cerner is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <80 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

No self-scheduling; block scheduling is provided to the best of our ability, dependent on staffing.

Unit Details: Patient population includes post-surgical patients in orthopedics, urology, GYN/oncology, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, ENT, plastics and GI. Acute medical patients may also be admitted with a short anticipated length of stay. RNs titrate drips. Common titratable and/or set-rate drips include heparin; nitro, Cardizem and insulin are used occasionally. Telemetry is present; strips are run and monitored by remote technicians. The telemetry system is GE. Equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP and high-flow oxygen therapy; no ventilators. Respiratory therapy support is present. Nurse-patient ratios are 1:4-5 from 0700-1900 and 1:5-6 from 1900-0730.

Shift & Scheduling: RN shifts include 0700-1930, 1100-2330 and 2300-0700. Every other weekend. Every other holiday. No call.

Floating Requirements: Float required to other adult medical/surgical nursing units.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
