Position Overview

As a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Senior Flex Therapy Center in Modesto, California, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from various health conditions. Work Environment

You will be working onsite in a fast-paced hospital setting where teamwork and communication are key. Collaborating closely with Physical Therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, you will help create a positive atmosphere that fosters patient engagement and recovery. The work schedule is structured from Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM, allowing for a predictable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans as outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring alignment with patient needs and clinical standards.
  • Motivate and guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, providing hands-on support and instruction to optimize their recovery processes.
  • Accurately document patient responses, progress, and treatment adjustments within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to maintain comprehensive healthcare records.
  • Prepare therapy rooms and maintain therapeutic equipment, prioritizing cleanliness and readiness for patient use.
  • Monitor patients’ safety and comfort throughout therapy sessions, adjusting interventions as necessary to maximize effectiveness.
  • Encourage a positive and motivating environment, where patients feel supported and empowered to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with the supervising Physical Therapist and the broader clinical team to ensure cohesive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a PTA will involve working with a diverse patient population that includes seniors, athletes, post-surgical patients, and individuals with chronic conditions. Through tailored assessments and treatment plans, you will address unique rehabilitation challenges, helping each patient to regain strength, mobility, and independence. Qualifications

  • Valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license is a must.
  • Completion of an accredited PTA program, providing a solid foundation in physical therapy practices.
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification is preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 – $75,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
